Your Boomerang Sportfishing Holiday (7 day packages run Friday to Friday) starts with your flight from Cairns to Princess Charlotte Bay where MV Boomerang will be waiting in one of the mangrove creeks for your arrival.

The extensive mangrove estuaries and river systems play host to a myriad of fish species where we target Barramundi, Mangrove Jack, Black Jew, Salmon, Tarpon, Cod, Javelin Fish (grunter) and Trevally to name just a few. We encourage catch and release, but you are able to take 10kg filleted / cleaned fish back with you if you want. We have aircraft approved containers available and all containers are packed in accordance with regulations to ensure no issues when boarding your connecting flight home.

As we steam out to the bay, Flinders Island Group, Bathurst Heads and the surrounding reefs await. We target some great sport and pelagic species including Trevally, Mackerel, Fingermark, Queenfish & Tuna. There are countless outcrops of coral reef where prime eating fish species like Coral Trout, Red Emperor, Sweetlip, Nannygai, and Cod abound in the rich waters (suitable weather permitting).
